In August, Sol performs concerts in Switzerland, Austria, Germany and France. She begins the month with a tour alongside violinist Veronika Eberle and viola player, Antoine Tamestit. The musicians bring their programme of Beethoven’s Duet in E-flat major for Viola and Cello WoO. 32 (“Duett mit zwei obligaten Augengläsern”), and String Trio in G Major, op. 9, no. 1, and Dohnányi’s Serenade for String Trio in C Major, op. 10 interspersed with intermezzi by J.S. Bach and miniatures by György Kurtág, to various festivals including the Gstaad Festival in Saanen, Klosters Music Festival, Rheingau Festival in Ingelheim and the Pablo Casals Festival in Prades.

Celebrating its eighteenth season, the festival opened at the end of June, and performances continue into July. She continues her collaboration with pianist Kristian Bezuidenhout and violinist Isabelle Faust (having just completed a tour with them in June) at the Solsberg Festival through the first week of July. The program features works such as Beethoven’s Variations on Ein Mädchen oder Weibchen from Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte for piano and cello in F-Dur, op. 66, Ries’ Grande Sonate in g-Moll, op. 125 for cello and piano, and Schubert’s Piano Sonata in E-flat major D 568. In her final two performances of the festival, Sol forms a sextet, presenting Strauss’ Metamorphosen für Streichsextett und Kontrabass (Rekonstruktion der Urfassung für Streichsextett und Kontrabass von Rudi Leopold).

The tour begins with three performances in Bremen, followed by Hannover, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Berlin, Turin, and Reggio Emilia.
